Bf109 vs Anson

All

In a famous action on 1st June 1940 Pilot Officer Peters flying an Anson of 500 (County of Kent) Squadron was one of three sent out to provide some cover for the Dunkirk evacuation . During a mêlée with several Bf 109s, Peters managed to score hits on one of the fighters with his forward firing machine gun. The 109 crash landed near Dunkirk, pilot Werner Bielefeldt suffering injuries. The Anson also claimed a second Messerschmitt destroyed and one damaged.

Question, is there a Luftwaffe report on this combat, and apart from Bielefeldt, were any further 109 losses / damaged reported which would confirm(or not) the 'claims'?

TIA
Dave

Re: Bf109 vs Anson

Werner Bielefeldt was wounded in the left shoulder. He was the only casualty from I./JG 20; no precise location for where he landed are stated. His St Kap Oblt Walter Oesau was credited with a Blenheim during this mission (I believe) 20 km north of Ostend at 1135 hrs. Bielefeldt's wounds could not have been that bad as he gets his first kill now with 7./JG 51 on 7 Sep 40. He gets his 20th 9 Nov 41 His only major award for the Pokal in Sep 41. I am afraid that in respect of your specific questions, both are negative according to BofF T&N
