Uffz Karl Stömmer KIFA on 13 April 1944
I found the following on the Net:
On 13 April 1944 21-year old Uffz Karl Stömmer of I./ZG 76 was killed when his Me 210 A-3 WNr. 0316 crashed near Unterschlauersbach during a training flight. His radio bailed out and survived. Source: http://www.kriegstote.org/cgi-bin/ba...r&Vorname=Karl I am just wondering if the aircraft type is right: according to the Flugzeugbestand of I./ZG 76, this unit did not use Me 210 but in April 1944 converted from Bf 110 to Me 410 A, losing 8 of the latter in accidents. On the other hand it is possible that pilots used a Me 210 in the transition process, and this Me 210 might have been from another unit. Thanks in advance Laurent |
