Help with the meaning of CLi on the Ju 88 D-1/CLi designation

I have read this somewhere, but am not finding here on the Search facility or on other Forum's facilities.

What is the meaning of the CLi abbreviation on the Ju 88 D-1/CLi designation of some machines?

IF memory doest not fail me, it was something related to "long range", however I do not know from where it originated (the German word or meaning).

The "type" designation cand be found here:

ED and ALEX,

My gratitude for your kind help...I remembered that there was something related to extra fuel tanks and extra range....but now it is clear...and the site is helpful also to know the batches, etc.

Thank you all

A.
