Marek Sobski, author of
several valuable books in English about Italian armed forces and operations during WWII, reports on his latest work,
Mussolini's War: The Struggle and Bitter End of the Italian Army in Russia, 1942-1943:
“The new book is already in translation. I think it should be ready in September.
"I would like to add that work is also well advanced on the history of Regia Marina's naval operations on the Eastern Front, including threads such as the MAS torpedo boats on Lake Ladoga and the Black Sea, in addition, the CB midget submarines and light forces from Decima Flottiglia MAS operated in the latter area. I will also write about the vessels built for the USSR in Italian shipyards and the fate of Italian merchant ships carrying material from the Black Sea to Italy."
