Airmen, Battle of Britain period?

Looks to be early war with the 1st model wrist compasses strapped on the flight suits. The man in the foreground looks familiar, but that may be wishful thinking. I wish I knew who they were.

Hi Kevin

Foreground looks like Werner Molders of JG53, don't know if his Brother looked like him, but by memory I think so.

Johannes

The man in the foreground is not an officer. His side cap doesn’t have the silver piping.

Both Mölders brothers were officers.

Regards, Thomas

I am not so sure that schwimmweste is the waistcoat non baggy fronted smooth flat material over shoulders type of 1940, too many folds in it and also in shoulder area.
If its not as such then its not BoB, unless very late BoB when the open back type started to appear.
