Re: Erkennungsmarke in Soldbuch

The Hoidal book lists all the numbers you will need.....

Höidal, Jean. Deutsche Erkennungsmarken - Von den Anfängen bis heute: Mit den geheimen Codierungen (MOB-Listen) der Luftwaffe.

John

Hi Kaczmarek,

73172/110

Have you any idea to which unit this numbered ID tag refers too? I know that this airman did serve with KG30 but when killed was serving with Ku,Fl,Gr.106.

Hope you can help!

Thanks, Oh and sorry for butting in on this thread!

Melvin

Re: Erkennungsmarke in Soldbuch

Dear all,

Kaczmarek: thank you for your very kind offer but I really cannot expect you to check more than 460 Erkennungsmarkenummern

Jaap, John: thank you for the very reassuring hint to this publication of which I never heard before. Another book on the wish list...

Best regards, Marcel

Re: Erkennungsmarke in Soldbuch

Dear Hans,

Perfect! Thank you for this very neat and helpful link, it does work very well.
This will enhance my understanding where 'my' nightfighters got their Erkennungsmarkenumer originally, really great.

Jaap: knowing your tremendous knowledge and most inventive ways to get to hidden archives and files, "they" have blocked you of course to keep at least one source hidden Time to update (or change) your browser I guess?

Best regards, Marcel

Re: Erkennungsmarke in Soldbuch

73172/1 - 136 were issued by 3./Kü.Fl.St. 106,
73172/137 - 298 were issued by 6./KG 6 between Sep 1942 - May 1944.

So 73172/110 was issued by 3./Kü.Fl.St. 106.
