Loss Identifications in Greece,Aegean Sea

What matches these claims?
Unfounded or MISIDENTIFICATION?

III/JG27:

13/06/43=2 Beauf.30km O. Salynthos
08/10/43=1 B-25 N.Araxos
08/10/43=1 Manchester?? S.O.Pthymi
30/10/43=1 Beauf.Castelrosso Island
03/11/43=1 B-26 SO.Eleusis
24/01/44=1 Baltimore Aegean See
18/02/44=1 B-26 E.Gadura

Nothing found in Baltimore's loss lists (203°Sq.69° Sq,454 RAAF Sq.15 SAAF Sq)
Idem for B-26 (14° Sq,24 SAAF Sq,25 SAAF Sq)

Thanks in advance
michel

Re: Loss Identifications in Greece,Aegean Sea

Hello,
From the Tony Woods files I find the following for 1943.
13 July
Two Beaufighter claims, one each for Wies and Stuckler of JG27.
8 October
Two B25 "Mitchell" claims, one each for Rodel and Hoppe of JG27
One "Manchester" by Stuckler of JG27.
30 October
One Beaufighter claim by Loffler of JG27.
3 November
One B26 " Marauder" claim by Culemann of JG27.

Perhaps for 30 October
Beaufighter 47 Sqn - JM317 - Hayter and Harrer, both RNZAF.

And possibly for 24 January 44
Two Beaufighter losses,
Both of 227 Sqn, JL905 and EL270.
No Baltimore so far.

All for now
Alex

Re: Loss Identifications in Greece,Aegean Sea

In summary

13/06/43=2 Beauf.of 227°Sqr ?? (Greek source) or one 252°Sqd ?
08/10/43=2 B-25 of 321°B.GROUP (445°Sqd)
30/10/43=1 Beauf.of 47°Sqr (damaged by flak and finished by Uffz.Loffler ?)
03/11/43=1 B-25 of 321°B.Group (42-32486) gross misidentification,amazing but not exeptional.

the 2 beaufighter (JL 905 and EL 270 of 227°Sqr) lost the 23/01/44 and not 24/01/44 (Greek source and fighters over the aegean:Brian Cull)

18/02/44=perhaps misidentification,but what?.....US Losse? or unfounded?
