Pilots of 5./JG3 lost 8 June 1944

On this date 501 Squadron claimed two Bf109 destroyed, a probable and two damaged over Northern France. According to "2nd TAF" by Chris Shores and Chris Thomas these were pilots of 5./JG3 which lost the aircraft of Ltn Walter Moritzke and Uffz Heinz Schmidt. Can anyone tell me more of these pilots? I assume they survived this encounter.

best regards

Keith
