On this old post,for those interested,here are some additionals détails on Japanese side.
A total of 7 "Betty" lost by the Takao Kokutai,6 of wich directly involved with the 49° FG. détails:4 during the confrontation above the objective. G4M1:MP Chikashi Endo G4M1:MP Shosuke Tomohara G4M1:Mt Nobuyuki Muto G4M1:Mt Hisao Morimoto G4M1:PM Takashi Misono (Splasdown 150 Km of Koepang) G4M1:EV1 Takeji Fujiwara(force landing:"Penfoei" with 180 Holes and 4 dead on board) G4M1:MP Tadashi Sato(posed train retracted on a beach:"Dili" and completely burned;having had to make a U-turn beforehand) So:6 vict. for the 49°FG Japanese Source Michel |
