He 111 which LW unit?
Hi Guys,
He 111 unit with Gen Förster visited Belgrade on 30 May 1938 during 1st International Aviation Exhibition. Photo attached. Does anyone know which LW unit is in question? Thank you in advance. Best Aleks |

Well it seems that I manage to locate the unit :
“Greifswalder Lehrgeschwader flog am 29. 5. zum Besuche der jugoslawischen Hauptstadt Belgrad. Die sauber ausgerichteten Staffeln der 3. Kampfgruppe des Lehrgeschwaders Greifswald, geführt von dem Flugzeug des Kommandeurs, General Helmut Förster, trafen 10 h vorm. auf dem Flugplatz ein. Das deutsche Geschwader bestand aus 38 Kampflugzeugen, zweimotorigen Bombern und drei-motorigen Transportmaschinen mit 45 Offizieren und 200 Mann Besatzung, begleitet von 25 jugoslawischen Jagdflugzeugen, welche bis an die Landesgrenze entgegengeflogen waren. Diese Formationsflüge über Belgrad gaben der Eröffnung...” Source:Flugsport XXX. Jahrgang/Nr.12 – Mittwoch, 8 Juni 1938, page 322) I suppose that III./LG Greifswald is in question?
