Pictures of Iron Cross winners

Hi.
Does anybody know where to find portraits of Iron Cross recipients (different classes)? Has a "facebook" of these pilots ever existed?

Re: Pictures of Iron Cross winners

Most site/dealers selling militaria have multiple photos of EK2/EK1 recipients LW or otherwise. European dealers tend to have a broader and better selection.

Unfortunately many are not specifically noted by name but someone wanting to purchase photos would have relative ease in finding some.

Regards

Jeremy

Re: Pictures of Iron Cross winners

Luftfahrtverlag Start, same folks that publish Luftwaffe im Focus, has just published a new book "Die Ritterkreuztraeger der Kampfflieger Band 1." They have at least one photo of each winner.

Re: Pictures of Iron Cross winners

Surely any such site would be impossible as EK2 & above recipients would number hundreds of thousands?

Re: Pictures of Iron Cross winners

for me so far the best site with quite some info is:
http://www.ww2awards.com/
Germany section
if all people contributes with their bits and pieces...would fill in faster
try there...
