Information concerning Feldwebel Otto Hagn killed 20/02/43

Hi,

Does anyone know whether Feld. Otto Hagn was lost on an air attack over the UK. He was lost over the North Sea on the 20th February 1943.

Thanks

Rick

Luft Qm's list shows 18?-2-43 Bf110 C-4 D5+CN of 5/NJG3 missing over the sea Ff Fw. Otto Hagen Bf Uffz Walter Frinzel both missing to killed. The Balss book has Otto Hagn and gives location PQ5555 west of St.Peter over the sea on 18/19-2-43.

Hi Brian,

Was this an intruder operation?

QM's returns just say air combat over the sea, I assume chasing a bomber rather than an intruder mission over the UK. Report of 16-3-43 changes them from missing to gefallen so looks like they were recovered,

Regards

Brian
