Hi all,

Would any of you have to have information on Lt Rudolf Hepp (Kampfgeschwader 51) born 9.7.1916 in Saulgau?

Hello,

Leutnant Rudolf Hepp was born 2.7.1916 and died 5.6.1940 near Arbot France. He was a member of 4./KG 51. His grave is located in Andilly France, Dept 4 Row 1 Grave 4.

Could very well be a Ju 88 A-5. I have 3 losses for this day from II./KG 51.

Very interested to see your post above , regarding the three losses you have for this date. Would you be willing to share these with us?. I have no information on losses sustained by KG51 during 6.40, and would be interested in any losses.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks Norbert for the post - interesting I wonder if Lt Hepp may have been flying with II./KG 51 on this day...? I know he was attached to IV./KG 51 by a photo I have.

4./KG51 Junkers Ju88A-1 (5018). Shot down by Capt Williame, Lt Pichon, Lt de la Bretonnière, Adj Weber, and Sgt de Puybusque of GC I/2 over Recy-sur-Ource during sortie to attack Tours airfield and broke up in heavy belly-landing south of Arbot 1.50 p.m. FF Oberlt Fritz Hohenstein and BO Fw Rudolf Hepp both killed. BM Fw Heinz Kroll captured wounded - admitted to hospital in Langres. BF Fw Helmuth Ludwig captured unhurt – both later released. Aircraft 9K+KM.
