Norge enthusiasts sought re: 1(f)120 Iceland vets

Hello,

This is my first post so I will offer a short introduction to my specific interests...

A fellow from axishistory recommended that I request contact with Norwegian LW specialists here regarding any surviving veterans who may have flown on Iceland missions, especially KG40 and 1(f)120.

My interest in the Iceland missions began a few years ago when I first visited the LW grave in Reykjavik and picked up in pitch after I visited a Ju88 crash site this spring. I have since accumulated a few interesting books and articles with notes on the Iceland flights and it was suggested by this same fellow that there may be a few survivors who were on these missions. Hugo Löhr was specifically mentioned, and it was suggested that he has died. I would appreciate any conclusive info re: Löhr.

I am a member of numerous forums and don't always check back as often as I might, so anyone who would like to contact me via email, feel free to do so at obscurist@yahoo.com.

Thanks in advance!

The only 1/120 losses I have logged are 18 Oct 42 (Lt Harald Osthus and crew killed when shot down by Lt J D R Shaffer of 33 FS) and 24 Apr 43 (Lt Karl Brueck and 3 killed, 1 POW when shot down 1/Lt J M McNulty & 2/Lt H R Stengle of 50 FS). I have a number of FW 200 losses, one of which I have written about, plus a He 111 of 4/KG 40

Where have you written about this? If it is not posted elsewhere on the web, could you paste the citation here?
