Karl Anton Fritz Popp JU88 Pilot (Photo's)
Hi I am searching for information about my fathers Luftwaffe record.
I have upload all the photos I inherited from him and would appreciate any information personal, geographically or technical about them. What are the various ranks shown by his uniform? any info would be much appreciated. Can anyone recognize the airplane type in photo 73? The captions on the photos are my fathers own, but they were done many years after the war and may not be precise. My father Karl Anton Fritz Popp born 1916 died 1978? in Australia. Born 26 June 1916 Joined Luftwaffe 1935 - 1939 ? JU-88 Pilot. Captured 1945 by Americans handed over to French 12 months incarceration. From these photo's Malvin Brown from the Aircrew remembrance society believes Karl Popp was part of KG77, and that photo 40. overturned aircraft was at Rennes in France Photo Link https://picasaweb.google.com/GregorPopp1/KP_WW2_Stuff# Thank You Gregor Popp
