Tim

Belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

All the best for 2010.

Mark

Ps - Did you see in the autumn that W/Cdr Isherwood's medals including his Order of Lenin sold for £43,000!

Each to his own, yogy.
You are most certainly better informed on events than I am. As said, I have read very little & can only say that I found the book full of the sort of information that I would have greatly valued in those days.

I don't recall ever being briefed on tactics, enemy intent, armament, weak spots, effect of our guns, comparative performance or, in fact, anything that might have achieved better results &/or saved our skins.

I'm only eternally grateful to the *** who put me out of action in the early days & spared me September '40 - which I would not have lived through.

Tim,

Thanks very much for that information. I don't feel so bad now ! I had been thinking of Tim as your first name.

Regards,

Martin.

You're not the first to be confused.
The only name ever used - the other 3 totally wasted!!
