Re: missing Ju 88 TJ+KX on 29 Apr 1944

Just found this older thread while looking through wargrave lists - plus some additional information, regarding the death-place (location of crash) and names/personnel data of the crew.

All 3 crewmembers are buried at Linz-St.Martin (Austria), collective grave 3G-3-21

Gefr. Fiolka, Werner; * 21.03.1923, Ratibor/Oberschlesien (Volksbund: Uffz.)
Ofw. Kuhlebert, Wilhelm; * 05.11.1917, Oldenburg
Uffz. Gegerle, Karl-Heinz; * 07.10.1921

The place-of-death (i.e. the crashplace): südl. (south of) Grünau,
this is Grünau im Almtal, ~ 35 km S Wels, and ~15 km east of the Traunsee (Traun-Lake) in Austria.

Uwe (Karlsruhe/Germany)

Martin

One of the sources for the loss, apart from WASt./Berlin/Germany :

Bundesarchiv-Militärarchiv (BA-MA, Freiburg/Breisgau, Baden-Württemberg, Germany). Signatur: RL 2 III/779 ("Flugzeugunfälle bei Schulen und sonstigen Diensstellen"), 2.7.1944, Lfd.Nr. 32 (page 132).

Unit is FFS B 33 (Flugzeugführerschule B 33), as already given by Matti.

Uwe (Karlsruhe/Germany)
