20th May 1945 - RAF Lossiemouth
Does anybody have any info on a Wellington that crashed just before 10am on Sunday 20th May 1945 onto Church Street Lossiemouth.
11 civilians were killed, but can't see details on Aircrafr crew, aircraft no etc. |

Aircrewremembered is in error about Rickard Ronald Arthur RICKARD RAFVR, was involved in the following incident in the Middle East: 9/10 March 1943 No.40 Sqn Wellington Ic AD651 "D" Op:Palermo. Aircraft ran out of fuel and in trying to ditch crashed in a coastal palm grove, 15km from Homs. Sgt Sprately is buried in Tripoli War Cemetery. So Rickard had an accident in 1943, then a fatal crash in Lossiemouth in 1945?
