Leutnant Berthold Gerber 1/KG200

I am looking for any help in information to this pilot who served in this unit.
Also where they were in 1943/45.

Thank you in advance

Re: Leutnant Berthold Gerber 1/KG200

I don't think there was a 1./KG 200 before February 1944, so prior to that you'd probably be looking at one of its forerunners, e.g. 2./Versuchsverband Ob.d.L. The name Gerber doesn't feature in the index of the Smith/Creek book on the Versuchsverband or in the Gellermann book on KG 200. (The Thomas/Ketley book on KG 200 doesn't have an index of names).

It was. No mention of any officer with that name in the Officers' Careers site

Re: Leutnant Berthold Gerber 1/KG200

What is the date on the earliest award document? Can you read the name of the person who signed it?

Re: Leutnant Berthold Gerber 1/KG200

Further documents of Lt. Gerber are for sale at Militaria321.com.

A document dated of 8 March 1945 1./K.G. 200 is signed by the Staffelkapitän Hptm. Heinz Braun.

The field post stamp on the bomber clasp in gold from 3 January 1945 say Fp.Nr. L 60 636 = Stab K.G. 200 an is signed by the Geschwaderkommodore Oberstlt. Werner Baumbach.
