Nice JG2 pictures on ebay
Hi Guys,
1. http://www.ebay.de/itm/Foto-Jagd-Flugzeug-Me-109-Staffel-Kennzahlen-2-WK-/230667278890?pt=Militaria&hash=item35b4d75a2a 2. http://www.ebay.de/i...n-/140609647642 3. http://www.ebay.de/i...n-/140609647662 Hmmm… I like that picture! Who said (on TOCH) there was no fuselage hand grip on Bf109E ‘s right side??? 4. http://www.ebay.de/i...n-/130579534915 5. http://www.ebay.de/i...n-/140609647701 6. http://www.ebay.de/i...n-/130579534946 Machold (at left) with Friedrich Keller at the end of March 1941. 7. http://www.ebay.de/i...n-/130579534957 The same guys. 8. http://www.ebay.de/i...n-/130579534980 9. http://www.ebay.de/i...f-/130579534998 10. http://www.ebay.de/i...f-/130579535007 11. http://www.ebay.de/i...9-/130579535022 Let’s say Machold Braune 5 12. http://www.ebay.de/i...k-/130579535031 Ah, that one… If I’m not wrong this victory is dated 17/5/1941 and the victory is shared between two (or more) pilots. One part for “the other(s)” of 5000BRT and one part for that plane’s pilot for 1500BRT. Liesendahl shared 2500BRT that very same day. Hence the same boat profile we can see on his “Blue 1”, for example. White and Black of course since it’s a shared victory but no 5000BRT inside the white part, and 2500BRT written outside the black part of boat profile. Any clew for the present one?? It seems that, still on 17/5/1941, just after the Liesendahl hit, the staffel did claim a 6000/6500 BRT cargo either by strafing and/or bombing; that does explain the 5000/1500 balance. 13. http://www.ebay.de/i...r-/130579535042 14. http://www.ebay.de/i...g-/140609647838 15. http://www.ebay.de/i...g-/140609647860 16. http://www.ebay.de/i...g-/130579535086 17. http://www.ebay.de/i...4-/290605511080 This one & 18, 19… We already got two (three) different pictures of the same Gelbe 14 some weeks ago. Captioned Döberitz, September 1939. 18. http://www.ebay.de/i...2-/290605510716 19. http://www.ebay.de/i...z-/290605510305 20. http://www.ebay.de/i...n-/110747663821 Humm.. Let’s say JG 27 in Fels-am-Wagram.. Enjoy them, Tschüss, Franck. |

Re: Nice JG2 pictures on ebay
Hi Guys,
#3 (again) Lt. Christian von Schlieffen, 7./JG 2. #12 (again) I talked about Liesendahl Blue 1 - 10.(Jabo)./JG 2 - as example ... In fact I discovered that in July 1941 - still in 6./JG 2 - the displayed victories where quite different in particular the First and the Third. (See Mombeeck JG 2 Vol 2, page 80 (around)). After this period, Liesendahl got an accident and wasn't able to fly before the end of that same year when 10.(Jabo)/JG 2 was created... It seems, most probably, that his three first scores were repainted more or less by memory, the accidented machine being more or less lost, on the new machines with slight modifications. I wrote machines since - at least - WNr.7629 (Blue 1) and WNr.12672 did display the same aspect. (see picture) Whatever, this does change nothing about the present eBay picture. #9 & 10: Egon Mayer??? Cheers, Franck. Last edited by ouidjat; 16th January 2012 at 19:21. |
