Horbaczewski in the winter of 1943

Does anyone know where Eugeniusz Horbaczewski was in the Winter of 1943 until he joined 315 Squadron in February 1944?

Also did he train at 58 OTU in 1941?

He was sick, but I do not know details. Yes, he was trained at 58 OTU, later he was an instructor there.

Cheers, Franek!

Another question. Did he serve in 601 Squadron in1943. I know Skalski did, but were others of the Circus also temporarily with this squadron?

Yes, apparently they were. Horbaczewski was with No. 601 from ca. mid-June until the end of the first week of July. According to my notes on 7 July Horbaczewski flew with No. 601 on escort to Liberators bombing Gerbini, even though technically he was posted to No. 43 Sqn on 6 July. Drecki stayed on with No. 601 until early August.
