Hello,

You will find a photograph of the I./ZG 76 Abshussetafel in the following publication:

Messerschmitt Bf 110 Zerstoerer in action.
Campbell,Jerry L.
Warren:Squadron/Signal Publications.1977
p.17

Caption reads: German fighter units, as did their Allied counterparts, kept a score board listing their victories. This board, belonging to I./ZG 76, shows their victories through April 12 (1940). (Source:Hans Seebrandt).

Discussed here: http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showthread.php?p=244635

Apart of this scoreboard there is lot of other documents regarding the claims made by I./ZG76 in 1939-40 so we can say that we have 100% of their claims from this period of time.

Re: ZG-76 Claims against No 107 Sqn 17April1940

Hi Robert

I think it's II./ZG76 and III./ZG26 that the mikrofilms has all their earlier typed-out claims, and later ALL daily claims of all ZG units as they ceased to be before the mikrofilms cease.

These abschusstafel are great, though often they show unconfirmed claims, some like JG27 even indicate if they are unconfirmed. But I would accept them all as being confirmed unless otherwise told. Don't like to accept any claims that I have not seen a reliable source.

Keep well

Johannes

Re: ZG-76 Claims against No 107 Sqn 17April1940

Hi Guys

Have looked at this abschusstafel. In my opinion it does not included unconfirmed claims. I have copies of some Gollob documents where he indicates some of his "150" as being disputed, and these are not included.

Working with digital copies means you can enlarge, but this distorts a lot, whereas a photo not so much. I think that the beginning of sheet two of the list continues this 12 April 1940 claims.

Keep Well

Johannes

Jinxed isn't accurate.. These pilots were well trained and experienced, however flying an obsolete aircraft.
Had they been flying a Mosquito the records would have been much different.

Quite easy for a BF109 to sit back out of range of the Blenheim's .303 Vickers K-Gun and empty cannon shells into the aircraft.

My Grandfather 40045 William Henry Edwards DFC was awarded the DFC flying Blenheim L9041 following successful bombing raids on Stavanger, scoring hits on a Dornier Seaplane. This aircraft was later shot down on a similar mission with a different crew.

107 Squadron were incredibly brave and largely unacknowledged.
