A french pilot???

Hello,

This is a needle in a huge haystack I fear, but if there is anywhere I should ask, it had to be here.

The matter concerns one of my students who came to me and said that his grandfathers uncle was a french fighter pilot during the world war II.
He knew that he was shot Down by the germans and parachuted down and became prisoner of war.
His name was George Golonge.

Does this ring a bell anywhere???

Thank you very much in advance,

Christian
