First in the line is Fw 190 D-9 W.Nr. 211 925 "Blaue 1", 8./JG 6, Erfurt-Nord, after 8 May 1945.

The emblem looks like it's an JG 7 a/c. Does anyone have an ID on this one?

Regards,
Rudi.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Hi Rudi,

It looks like a reversed image of a "Yellow 3" of JG 7. It cannot be W.Nr. 501221 because that aircraft lost its nose in the crash landing.

best regards,

Jim

Trying to make out a fuselage number, I flipped the picture left-to-right and it looks as if it might possibly be a 13 or a 3 but without (say) a Hakenkreuz in sight, I can't be sure whether the picture is printed the right way round or not.

Interesting the instructions on the engine cowl are similar to the famous Croation G-14AS that surrendered to US troops. Does anyone know what the script says?

Thanks, Marc, for posting.

D.B.
