Re: The first 4 Ju88C-6 prototypes?

Thx Ed. The reason i asked is because 360153 carried the callsign of a staffel that didn't yet existed at the time of the crash. Was this a common thingy or could it be that the numerous sources that claim that III./NJG2 was formed 03.1942 are slighty off?

Remarkably 7./NJG2 was given the same feldpost nr. as the crew of 360153 (Erg./NJG2).

Re: The first 4 Ju88C-6 prototypes?

Can answer this but generally: Unit can be "formed" either before or after planes are assigned, or have no planes at all, or until a later date - but unit can (could) have planes before official forming, f.e. for training, but sources can also in some cases be incorrect - re FPN I can not comment (not subject of my studies).
