Wrecked Soviet Aircraft

These 2 photographs of wrecked Soviet aircraft came as part of a lot which was the former property of a KG 1 DKiG Bordfunker.

I appreciate there is not a great deal of detail to go on however, if anyone can identify either or even both of these, I really would be very grateful.

Regards Richard.

Re: Wrecked Soviet Aircraft

The acfts wrecks depicted are beyond any doubt IL-2 somewhere
in Germany or Poland by the end of 1944 or 1945 ( see the German DR oil cars
destined for Brandenburg or Nuerenberg )

Re: Wrecked Soviet Aircraft

With due respect, I doubt this would be Poland or Germany, especially in 1944, or 1945. Soviet AC red stars were not used without white outline in those late years, so this must be still in 1941 or 1942 somewhere in the Soviet Union with a German supply train.

Re: Wrecked Soviet Aircraft

Agree with HGabor, especially as the first wreck looks like a Sukhoi Su-2 which has no place in 1944/45

Wrecked Soviet Aircraft

Thanks to all who have replied.

Sukhoi Su-2 and Il 2 it is then, and I am really pleased to of been able to positively identify them.

As a point of interest I will re-scan, enlarge and re-post the destination sign of the DR oil car over the next few days.

Thanks again, Richard.

Re: Wrecked Soviet Aircraft

Yes, these are Su-2 and IL-2 wrecks in the Soviet Union still in 1941 or 1942, most likely with a German military supply train.
Cheers,
Gabor
