Re: 19 sqdn Mustangs
Hello Bengt,
Thank you for the reply, it is most welcome. The reason for asking the question as to which a/c were involved is that on cross checking Palmer's and FCL books with the AB serials books there were more than one 19 Sqdn a/c recorded as lost/damaged on the dates as given above. So who were the pilots of those second a/c ? 21. May: FB198 20. June: FB233 22. June: FB236 30. June: FB368 7. August: FB168 11. August: FB122 19. August: FB159 Thanks again for your reply Alex |

Re: 19 sqdn Mustangs
Hello,
21 May: FB198 - Palmer gives this a/c as that of Warren. 20 June:FB233 - FCL(3) gives this as Schofields a/c and AB's FA100/FZ999 gives this as 19 Sqdn s/d by FW190'S NR Dreux this date. 22 June: FB236 - Palmer has Collyns a/c as FB105. 30 June: FZ181 - Palmer has this as Cameron's a/c. 7 August: FB168 - Palmer has Hart's a/c as FB166. If this a/c is wrong then both FB168 and FZ166 are in AB FA100/FZ999 as 19Sqdn and "blew up attacking barges on Seine 7.8.44" and "Bomb exploded in flight over Seine 7.8.44". So if Hart's a/c was FB168[FCL(3)] then who was in FZ166 ? 11 August: FB168 - P/O. E. R. Davies (Palmer) also with ? FCL(3).But a/c lost on 7 August with Hart ? 19 August: FB159 - Hit by flak and abandoned(AB FA100/FZ999), F/Lt E. Clayton + [FCL(3)]and Palmer. FB122 - Hit by flak and abandoned(AB FA100/FZ999), F/lt. N.W.Wood + [FCL(3)] and Palmer. Alex Last edited by Alex Smart; 2nd April 2013 at 16:55. |
