Ofw Hans Rassek KG40-100 Birthday
I know this post is not strictly WW2 but if its ok with the mods I would like to mention my old friend Hans Rassek. This week former Ofw. Hans Rassek from KG40 celebrated his 100 birthday, he is possibly one if not the last surviving member from KG40. Hans crash landed in Ireland in December 1943 and was interned here, he wrote the foreword to our book " Luftwaffe eagles Over Ireland" which was released four years ago. Wishing you continued good health Hans and hope to see you soon.

Nice to hear he is still with us-I too contacted him years ago. My best to him as well
