Year is 1943, clear from the other pages, but we could also read NI+BV, thought the more evident reading is NI+NY...

To add that NI+BV was already total loss on 21.June 42, also to be noted that NI+BY is originaly not an G-2 , but an G-1, hence its use for flight at high heights in Orianenburg

Re: Christian Dietrich (E-Stelle) logbook ref EdNorth

Hi Remi, i have a transfer date from Antwerpen in 1.03 - 10.03 43 to Værløse then an engine replacement 23.03 43 at Stade before Værløse. By I/Jg5 april 43. Crashed by Egersund 7.7.43 as a G2 The firewall is missing the entry for cabinpressure, proably done by Erla, modified to G2 standard. But we have found some other brackets / equipment not found in any parts catalog, so it may have been there then for other tests ?.

Tanks Ed for the confirmation. Then we have to look for a record of the test 9.5.43. This may be to early to be of interest for the allies so the test is not worth colecting and put in a arkive.

The entry is more likely for the Bf 109G-1 WNr. 14116 NI+SV, which was under test at Rechlin form January until August 1943.

Re: Christian Dietrich (E-Stelle) logbook ref EdNorth

Mag es sein, but the code is clearly written NI+BY....

We could note that Dietrich is quite never flying same plane , a suggestion: the planes due to fly at great heights were sent to Orianenburg to validate their capacity to do it...

I agree Remi, it is NI+BY, and the test can be for high altitude photo reco duties over Uk. We have found equipment / parts for that type of duty, but was removed when entering I/Jg5. As the G4 reco macines was used in high altitudes, 14055 NI+BY can also have done this as a G2 type i suppose.
