Vanishing Private Messages
Ruy
Is there some sort of timer operating when drafting private messages to members? Several times now, I have logged in, typed a LONG message to someone, pressed the 'submit' button - and all my work is lost! The message is deleted instead of being sent, and I get a box popping up with 'you are not logged in' (which I am!). First time, this happened several times the same day I registered as a member, so I thought it might be something to do with that. But it has just happened again. I am having to break up my private messages and send them in installments - frustrating for the recepient. And I am getting p****d off having to re-type quite lengthy and detailed messages! Any one else have this problem? JackoGZ |

Re: Vanishing Private Messages
My advice when typing a lengthy message is to either:
a. type it in advance b. copy it at stages while typing your text (CTRL A followed by CTRL C). If your connection times out before posting, or when network issues rear their ugly face, you lose your material. You'll also lose your material if you go back to the previous page. Unfortunately this is something that cannot be changed (and it happens with most other forums that I know of).
