The RAAF Hudson Story, Book Two Due out Soon!

hi all;

received an e-mail from David Vincent today announcing the imminent release of his new book "The RAAF Hudson Story, Book Two". Anyone familiar with volume one of this set will already be familiar with David's excellent and thorough work. for those who don't know this book from down under, I can only say "if you like the Hudson, FIND this book!"

Due out around Christmas, this book has around 400 pictures and contains the following chapters:

Chapter One – Operations North Western Area (pp 11-152)

Chapter Two – Operations North Eastern Area (pp 153-244)

Chapter Three – Transports and Air Ambulances (pp 245-300)

Chapter Four – Post-war Sales and Civil Usage (pp 301-342)

as well as appendices.

Book price is $70, but David is offering a pre-publication price of $50 (plus applicable shipping, of course.) I don't want to post his e-mail here, but if you are interested drop me a PM and I will provide his contact info.

Paul

DISCLAIMER: I have no association with or interest in this book other than as an avid fan of the Hudson.

Re: The RAAF Hudson Story, Book Two Due out Soon!

Well of course the book is out now. I hope that everyone interested in this subject has added this tome to their library.

David Vincent now has a well designed website "Vincent Aviation Publications" where you can order the book as well as view completed pages and photographs.

You can also order the author's first book on RAAF Hudson's, THE RAAF HUDSON STORY: BOOK ONE (1999) "Book One explains why the RAAF purchased Hudsons to begin with and details RAAF Hudson operations in the Far East, Middle East and in the convoy escort/anti-submarine role."
