Stansfield Derek Kearns, D.S.O., D.F.C., D.F.M.(N.Z.405572)
Good night to all!
From the information I do have, this officer earned his DFM with 75 Squadron; his DFC with 156 Squadron (PFF) and his DSO with 617 Squadron. I understand he continued on the Royal Air Force after the war and would appreciate more details of his career and, if someone could share, a picture of this officer while serving on WW2. Does anyone knows if he has sons or daughters alive, which I could establish contact? I do appreciate your attention and kindness, Yours sincerely, Adriano Silva Baumgartner baumgartner_asv@yahoo.com.br |

He doesn't appear in the RAF List I have dated 2004 so would guess that if he remained in the RAF, is no longer with us

You might like to contact the BA/BOAC archive but I doubt if they will be able to add more

Re: Stansfield Derek Kearns, D.S.O., D.F.C., D.F.M.(N.Z.405572)
Col. Bruggy...sad news to hear that G/C Hanson, OBE passed away...I contacted him back in 2003, and he helped me with information on my first work on some Mosquito airmen....really sad news.
Chris...It is an alternative...they may have something more to add...or no...Will have a try, even though. Thanks, anyway! |
