Bf109G, Fw190A and Bv238(?) photos near Elbe River, April 1945

Gents,

I stumbled upon the following photos whilst looking for some armour images:

Bf109G and Fw190A wrecks on airfield adjacent to the Elbe River, Saxony:
http://www.twofortyforth.org/images/6-27-12/destroyed%20ME%20109's.jpg

BV 238 wreck?

Comments?

Cheers,

David

Yes, there was report in magazine some time ago of the BV 238 was towed to shore, whist on fire (or set on fire there).

Note the K-4 behind "Black 19", decent photo of the starboard wing pattern.

David,

The airfield shot was taken at Bad Lippspringe. You will easily recognize both the Fw 190 A-8 W.Nr. 173 035 "Schwarze 11" and the Bf 109 K-4 which sports a dice emblem under its left windscreen behind the Bf 109 G-14/AS W.Nr. 78x xxx "Schwarze 19"in the set of pics dedicated to this airfield:

Some of thew Bf 109's are certainly former JG 27 machines, one of them being the only known Bf 109 G-10/R6, having thus wing pods MG 151.
Cheers
Marc
