Otto Bertram's brothers

Source http://luftwaffe.cz/bertram.html :
"Otto was one of three brothers serving in the Luftwaffe, two of whom had been killed in action – Hans, Gruppen Adjutant of I./JG 27, had been shot down over England in September 1940, and Karl, a nightfighter pilot with 9./NJG 1, had been killed when he crashed his Bf 110 west of Kiel following an engagement with a RAF bomber on 28 October. Otto, as the sole surviving brother was prohibited from further combat duty."

But at the Invalidenfriedhof cemetary in Berlin is a memorial stone with these two names:
-Oblt. Hans H. Bertram +30.9.40 London, Adjutant einer Jagdgruppe
-Lt. Kurt Bertram +11.8.40 Themse-Mündung.

Which one is right as the second brother? My guess is Kurt.

Matti Salonen will become famous soon enough
Re: Otto Bertram's brothers

Karl cannot be right, because he was born only 6 months after Hans. Kurt would fit, because he was born 1 year and 7 months after Hans.

Re: Otto Bertram's brothers

11th August 1940
1. Staffel, Erprobungsgruppe 210
Bf 110 C-6
Lt. Kurt Bertram (Pilot), aged 20
Ogefr. Gerhard Mertens (Bordfunker), aged 22
Shot down by RAF fighters over convoy near Harwich.

In a letter to me from Otto Bertram in the 1980s, he said: "...What they (his comrades) told me was - 'When I last saw him in the air over the mouth of the River Thames he was chasing a Hurricane, and was himself chased by two Spitfires' I, at that time was Squadron Leader of 1. Staffel, Jagdgeschwader Nr. 2 Richthofen, and for me this information was equal to a death sentence. My brother was a man without fear. This was his first mission with enemy contact, and his last..."
