100kg bomb attached to parachute
Hi folks
What sort of aircraft would drop 100 kg bombs attached to parachutes? To add a bit more context this is March 1944 and the location is Texel. Thanks Robert |

Re: 100kg bomb attached to parachute
The Americans used parachute retarded bombs for very low level bombing in the Pacific theatre. There are several photos on the net of B-25s using them.

Re: 100kg bomb attached to parachute
Thanks Bill
Texel is an island off the coast of Holland and had flak positions and probably radar/early warning stations. Robert |
