eBay: Aircraft graveyard on Lyuban airfield

Gentlemen,

To make short I did copy title given by LiF Nr.22/2013.
The said article does present some photos taken in October 1941.

The following photo
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Russland-Flug...item234362fab7

can be dated Winter 1941-1942 since all refered losses are dated September or October 1941.

This is not the first time - at least fourth - that this graveyard is pictured during the same winter and the photos offered in auction. Hence another one today ...

The Fw189 is most probably - 100% is - Fw189A-1, Dreieck + Rotes S, WNr.0177, Stab II.(S)/LG2 lost on 22 September 1941 ... "Bruch wegen Motorschadens 45%. LiF 22 page 23.

The Bf109 without engine in background being one of these III./JG27 machines.

Best regards, Franck.

PS: One of the photos made in Lyuban during the said winter in attachment. You can compare with page 26/27 (double page photo). Source expired eBay auction, May 2013.

Hello Franck,
In the extreme left of your attached photo "F-4", is that a Hs123 behind Messerschmit Black(?)-4?

Regards,
...geoff

Re: eBay: Aircraft graveyard on Lyuban airfield

Hi Geoff,

Yes there was more than one Hs 123 ..
One of them was (If you don't have LimF Nr.22) Hs123B-1 Rote 1 WNr.846, 10.(S)/LG2. Accidented on 25-Sept-1941 Bruch 40%.
Not necessarily the one on "my" photo.

Regards, Franck.
