Do 217 Losses 1 Apr 44
On this date, a Do 217 of 6./KG 100 crashed on or near Cabrera in the Balearics while another crashed at Lloret del Mar in Spain. Does anyone have anything more on these 2 crashes? I have the crew and aircrfat information but would like to know more about where exactly they came down (land or sea for a start) or what happened

Thanks-so Lt Hans Kieffer and it was engine failure for one of the losses.

Thanks Nick. As a result, now in contact with Kieffer’s family. He was shot down by a P-61 of the 422 NFS and taken POW on 7 Aug 44 while with 7./KG 100
