Vladimir Abramov Hs126
The Osprey Book Polikarpov I-15, I-16 and I153 Aces by Michael Maslov p 82 has future VVS ace Vladimir Abramov flying recon ops in a captured Hs-126. It looks like he was operating over the Baltic states at this time and the Russians did capture 5 Estonian Hs-126s and they were attached to the XXII corps. Could it have been one of those he flew? One other was interned in Lithuaina in Sept 1939 after being hit by Polish AA fire but, it looks like it was put in a hanger and not flown. see Henshel Hs-126 R Paneko and R Peczkowski

Re: Vladimir Abramov Hs126
Hello James,
Russian sources report that Abramov transferred one Hs 126 in 1941 from an airfield near Tallin where some Estonian machines stayed abandoned. So it indeed seems that he used a German plane for reconnaissance in that area. Best wishes/Håkan
