Ernst,
Have any remains ever been found on the bottom of Stavanger harbor of the four He115s that were apparently shelled and sunk by the British cruiser HMS Suffolk during the pre-dawn of 17 April 1940? I've never seen any photos of them, nor any references to the wreckage ever having been found. Do you have any information on this? I would have expected local divers to have found the remains of these wrecks and made some recoveries from them. Are these wrecks known to the local diving community? Thanx, |
