Information about 1st. Lt. John M. Simmons, 317th FG and 1st. Lt. William Pomerantz, 318th Sqd. both of 325th FG

Gentlemen, now I'm looking for information about these two former P-51 pilots of WW2. The both flew with Capt. Harry Parker of 318th Sqd. Again, there are no information or pictures about them on the net. So I'm hoping for your help again. Any help and information is greatly appreaciated. Thanks - Kurtl

Kurt,

You can find their names mentioned here http://www.geocities.com/raf_112_sqd...onor_roll.html and
here http://www.325thfg.org/

John M. Simmons was an ace with 7 victories. His P-51 was 44-13322.
William Pomerantz had P-51 43-24827.

Regards,

Leendert

Hello Leendert,

Pomerantz would have a link to Israel I think.

John M. Simmons had the #27 on his Mustang. It had the names "Devastating Dottie/Lady Janie VII or VII" on the nose and he flew with the 317th Squadron.

William Pomerantz had #56 on his craft. The nose showed the name "Kid Sime/Sexy Lil" and he flew with the 318th Squadron.

I would be interested in pictures about those men and information about their destiny.

Simmons was KIFA on Jan 18, 1961, at Eglin AFB, Florida.

I have no information on the other.

Frank.
