That's very sad. I respected him very well. His article such as in WW1 about the famous chinese first built aeroplane Rosamonde is easily pretty.

Yes his loss was a great shock. News of his recovering wellwas posted on "The Aerodrome" just the other day, then within a day the sad news of his death was announced (due to complications).

Dan will be greatly missed for his knowledge, good humour and kindnesses.
