Another Spitfire on the beach
This is presumably P9339 of 222 Sq, lost June 1,1940,though the crash looks survivable. Can anyone verify the serial number?
The pilot assigned to P9339 was PO Massey-Sharpe who was KIA Last edited by kaki3152; 2nd April 2018 at 17:04. |

Four lost this date N3232 - Sgt. White - Killed. P9317 - "ZD - A" - P/O. Falkus - Pow. P9339 - "ZD - J" - P/O. Massey-Sharpe - Killed. P9377 - "ZD - U" - P/O. Morant - Safe. is is know a serial number of Spitfire of 616.SQ loss in the same fight like previous Spitfire of 222.SQ? Thanks Faenor |
