Re: Tonolei (Buin-Kahili) 05/01/1943
Holmes claimed 1/2/0 Float Biplanes. Mitchell claimed one Float Zero. Two pilots of the 68th FS claimed 1/1/0 Float Biplanes. For a total of 3/3/0. Float Biplanes were probably Petes. Perhaps the forthcoming book from LeLa Presse will have further details.
Enjoy! Frank.

Re: Tonolei (Buin-Kahili) 05/01/1943
Thank you Frank
I have the new magazine of LELA PRESSE (exellent as usual with the author:Bernard Baesa),and according to him (his informations are in general particularly reliable),the 2 PETE belong to Kokutai 958 and the RUFE to Kokutai 802(QM Oshima Shinkichi) 68° Sqd I have only Capt.Robert Hubbell 1,who is the other claimant? claims 100% matches the losses:remarkable michel |
