Herbert Bauer - 24 April 1942
Hello
Oberleutnant Herbert Bauer of 1./St.G 2 was badly wounded while attacking Russian Navy ships in the port of Kronstadt on 24 April 1942. Some sources state this was due to Flak while others state it was due to fighters (a LaGG-3 of 11 GIAP, VVS flown by Starshina Shakh who was himself shot down by an escorting fighter). Would anybody have the loss list information of this incident and be willing to share it? Horrido! Leo |
