Slovak logbooks (13.(slow.)/JG52)
As far as I know, several logbooks of Slovak pilots survived the war, including at least 4 pilots of the 1.Garnitúra of 13.(slow.)/JG52:
Ján Gerthofer Vladimír Kriško Josef Režnák Pavol Zeleňak Zeleňak's logbook is available online, the rest apparently not. Is it possible to find out the flight hours of the other three pilots as of 1.4.43? I am trying to understand why the Slovaks in 2Q1943 didn't suffer any losses at all, despite the fact that they were in the epicenter of the Kuban air battles. The fact that they were not eager to die for the 3rd Reich cannot fully explain this phenomenon. Best regards, Andrey |
