8./NJG 3
Hi,
According to the source, Balss / Scherzer, I found a different spelling: 1. In the night of 22/23 july 1944 a Uffz. Karl-Heinz Santlas or Santlus was lost with his crew off the Helgoland coast. 2. On the 11th of August 1942 a Uffz. Heinrich Friedrichsmeyer or Friedrichsmayer was lost together with his pilot during a sea rescue mission in the Skagerrak area. Hopefully someone has more information about the correct spelling of this 2 names. Kind regards. Dirk |

According to the NVM:
1944-07-23, 8./NJG 3, Ju 88 G-1, 712401, D5+OS, 10 km nordwestlich Insel Helgoland Flugzeugführer Uffz Santlus, Karl-Heinz, + Bordfunker Obgfr Cronenberg, Franz, + Bordmechaniker Obgfr Frey, Karl, + Absturz in See nach Luftkampf und Aufschlagbrand. Bruch 99 %. 1942-08-11, 8./NJG 3, Bf 110 D-3, 4352, D5+NS, Jammerbucht Flugzeugführer Uffz Schürkamp, Heinrich, + Bordfunker Uffz Friedrichsmeyer, Heinrich, + Von einer Seenotsuchaktion nicht zurückgekehrt. Bruch 100 %. Matti |
