Re: Fate of Ju 88 crew?

There is an Erich Sielemann listed as an Ehrenpokal winner for 17th Oct 1941. Listed as a Feldwebel and 'Aufklärungstruppe'.

Edit: Can't work out the pilot's name beyond 'A___mann'.

Re: Fate of Ju 88 crew?

For Erich Sielemann there is an entry in the Kracker Archive where he gets a mention and it shows him as being KIA in December 1941 in the North Sea.

The entry is for a Leutnant Alexander Kober:

1(F)/120
Ju 88D-1 Werk # 1373 "A6 + MH" (lost)

KIA 22 December, 1941 in Wk# 1373 on an operation, and crashing into the North Sea. Remaining crew (all KIA): Lt Hans Andersen, Observer; Fw Erich Sielemann, R/O and Uffz Ludwig Heise, Gunner.

Re: Fate of Ju 88 crew?

For Brems there is also an entry in the Kracker Archive for him in relation to another airman...

The entry is for Feldwebel Helmut Rieck:

1(F)/120
Ju 88D-1 Werk # 1577 "A6 + NH" (lost)

MIA 8 January, 1942; failed to return from a mission near FFäröyne. Remaining crew (all MIA): Lt Heinrich Brems, Observer; Uffz Theodor Ziegler, R/O and Uffz Erwing Aigner, Gunner.

The source for both of these losses is SIG Norway

Re: Fate of Ju 88 crew?

For Unteroffizier Adam (assuming it is him - common name but being based on assumed rank, unit and trade) there is also an entry in the Kracker Archive for him in relation to another airman...

The entry is for Oberleutnant Hasso Mündel:

1(F)/120
Ju 88D-1 Werk # 1621 "A6 + HH" (lost 2/22/42)

KIA 22 February, 1942; failed to return from a mission crashing at Map Quadrant 06 East/4176. Found a few days later by a Norwegian fisherman, and buried in Bergen, Norway. Promoted to Oblt posthumously. Remaining crew (all KIA): Fw Gerhard Schuster, Observer; Ofw Georg Wiczurke, R/O and Fw Joachim Adam, Gunner
