Victories of 339th Fighter Group (8thAAF) over Germany

hi,

Please what were the victories of the 339th FG on 18 November and 26 November 1944 ?

It seems over the cities of : Neuberg and Misberg (?).

Can we know the opponents?
Thank you
Regards
Philippe

As for the Luftwaffe, try to get hold of "Luftwaffe Over Germany-Defense of the Reich" by Caldwell & Muller.
Page 253 has this about the 26th November '44.
I & II JG 1.
III JG 6 - 6 KIA , 6 WIA.
JG301 - 26 KIA, 13 WIA.
IV/JG27 & IV/JG54 - 32 Bf109's 4 Fw190's.
Total losses - 60 KIA, 32 WIA.
119 a/c.
Also place the Luftwaffe part of the question on the "Luftwaffe" section of the website.

All the very best
Alex

Re: Victories of 339th Fighter Group (8thAAF) over Germany

JG 301 were hit badly first by 355th FG and 2SF from Misburg past Hannover to the south until 1245, then the 339th FG from south of Hannover to Dummer Lake

The 355th also encountered JG1 an JG6 ne of Misburg from 1215 to 1240
