Hurricane loss 14. Juni 1941 Western Dessert

The german magazine Jet&Prop publish at least four photos from an Hurricane crash in North Africa. The serial would be 1609(?), the Pilot KIA. He is burried as an unknown "Ein unbekannter englischer Leutnant, im Luftkampf gefallen".
14.06.1941.
Is it possible to identified the unknown Pilot?

Thanks,
h.

Hello,

Your photos show the wreck of No.24 SAAF Sqn Maryland II 1609. Lt E C Newborn PoW, 3 killed in action. Shot down by Oblt Ludwig Franzisket, of I./JG27.

202917 Lt (Pilot) E C Newborn SAAF (baled out) PoW
47930 2nd Lt Charles Cornack GORDON SAAF +
102315 Air Sgt (W.Op./Air Gnr.) Paul Wilhelm De Beer BOTHMA SAAF +

The dead are now buried in Knightsbridge War Cemetery.

Your second shot, shows "Edu" Neumann (2nd right), and Marseille, 5th from right.

A Life photographer later took photos of this gravesite.
