JG 3, 52 and 53 all operated from Tusow in August-September 1942. All 3 have published unit histories in which there may be a map or two along with narrative descriptions of exactly where the Feldflugplatz was in respect to the village.

Tusow: PQ 44 Ost 39/3/8/1
In this map - schematical position, not exact. If to translate PQ 44 Ost 39/3/8/1 - in coordinates, it turns out:
48°35 ' 0.00" N 43°11 ' 0.00" E but this place - ravines and hills.(see screen Google Earth ) .

Regarding LUMA is it 48.541668 E, 43.25 E (roundabout 8 km southeast from your position). Prien wrote that Tusow was an field with deep clefts of erosion around, the socalled "Balkas". There weren't buildings or hangars and the pilots/black men lived in tents.

Thanks Rasmussen !
but - 48.541668 E, 43.25 E ?!
I think first - "N" (you write "E")? And - 48.541668 ( where - ' (minutes) and - " (second) ?'

Write "48.541668 N, 43.25 E" in google maps (with points, you don't need minutes and seconds) and you get the position.

Thanks Rasmussen. Your coordinates and descriptive information is very helpful to me, too.
